Dark hours are near, but a MUCH brighter day is just around the corner.
One more year! One more year of George W. Bush, Inc.
(more below)
As I write this brief diary, we are approximately two hours and fourty-five minutes away from the close of the Nevada caucuses. All but perhaps those just joining us today know exactly what that means: in three hours, the floodgates of candidate bickering will open even wider. Some of us will try to remain above the fray, some of us will gloat, and others will vow revenge. Regardless of how these results turn out, we’ll soon have enough pies and pastries floating around to open a franchise of bakeries.
Why do I point out the obvious and dwell on the negative: because we all have an opportunity to minimize the bitterness this afternoon. No matter who we’re aligned with today, let us not forget tomorrow: January 20, 2008.
ONE MORE YEAR OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION NIGHTMARE!!!
As passionately as we argue for our respective candidates, let’s remember that we have this in common. Tomorrow we start ticking off the final year of a dark period, `and while our opinions on Nevada will vary widely, this cause for celebration is something perhaps all of us can rally around.
