Nancy might have won a gold medal; Tanya certainly was not going to. Bottom line -- the US went home without the gold medal. Kneecapping your teammate doesn't help your team win.
Wildly cheer for your favorite, but let's get rid of the tire irons, ok? We are going to need Obama, Clinton and Edwards down the stretch regardless which one is the nominee, if we want to win in the fall. We're going to need Richardson and Kucinich, too. We're going to need to work together, which is looking like it will be nearly impossible now.
Maybe Candidate Diaries should have their own section so the rest of us could ignore them. Maybe next time around they should be banned outright. The stupid bitterness of most of them is doing no good for any of the candidates, doing no good for the Democratic Party and doing no good for the Kos community.
The candidates deserve blame, too. I wonder if all the dumb candidate diaries here have rubbed off on them. But the kneecapping started here.
So let's work together to ban kneecapping. Then maybe we can come together to support the eventual candidate. Or maybe not and we can all go to our corners and sulk while Mitt Romney appoints Pat Robertson to the Supreme Court.
We win together, or we won't win at all.
