We truly would be foolish if we make JHC our nominee. It's not because of his mainstream record, his qualitative experience, or many of his fine accomplishments. It's because of his tactics, his divisiveness, his lack of ties to the status quo, and the needs of the people.
The tactics of the Apostles this year have been abhorrent and disgusting. The speaking in tounges, the healing of the sick and the making of bread on Shabbat. The association with publicans prostitutes and all manner of other ner do wells.
JHC is a flip flopper on the war on the one hand telling us that peacemakers are blessed and then on the other that he "came not to bring peace but the sword" He went further saying that if you didn't have a sword then you should sell your clothes and buy one. As near as I can tell the only kind of Peacemaker he approves of is made by Colt Firearms.
JHC has a dangerous anger problem look at his over reaction in the temple for one. If you need another example just look at how he let Peter attack that guard at Gethsemene or he moodily demanded to be left alone for days on end.
JHC is wrong on family values when his family expressed concern for his increasingly erratic behavior he publicly disowned them saying that whover followed him were his family.
JHC is a lush. Presented at a wedding with perfectly good pitchers of water he decided that no he had to have wine and the way he ordered his mom around just despicable.
He's megalomaniacal- He calls himself "the truth" And there's word about that he's started a whisper campaign to be King.
Now when the Romans ask you who to choose on that fateful day choose Barabbas.
