Us. We the people. We were the big winners last night. Regardless of what you may think of your favorite candidate or where they finished last night. We have three very strong candidates in our field and several promising ones in addition to the front runners, and it showed. The nomination is still up for grabs for any of the three front runners.
We have a real opportunity here to lock up the Presidency for almost a 1/4 of the coming century or more. There was record turnout for the caucuses with many new young people. This is probably the most significant development form yesterday. The younger people are our future and if we can get them in our camp now they will most likely be there still when they get older.
Ever since I became old enough to vote, I always felt like I had to hold my nose when pulling the lever for the Democrat candidates in the presidential election as the better choice of two not so great candidates. For the first time No matter which of the three, yes even Hillary, wins the nomination I won't have that problem. I have not felt this energized or excited about an upcoming election since I can't remember when. Don't get me wrong none of the top three are perfect. They all have their particular flaws, but dang it is nice to feel good about our candidates for a change.
So regardless of where your favorite finished last night. Stand up tall. Be proud that we have such an excellent choice of people running for President. And lets go kick some Republican booty come November. :)
