I'm still figuratively drunk from excitement from last night. My girl Hillary lost in Iowa, but i'm going to be OK. The party is out of control - all these party crashers (young, old and independant) made the party too exciting to ignore!
The reason i'm drunk . . . Imagine this type of turnout nationally and the implications for the house and the senate, state elections, and local elections. (and redistricting in 2010) We could roll back everything both Bushes have done very quickly and save our planet and country!
Also, look at our candidates. We have a very deep team of well known national leaders who can assist our eventual nominee and all our congressional candidates, who can drum up funds and support for the party. If we work together when the eventual nominee is chosen . . . imagine!
I'm still drunk!
What if Hillary doesn't win the nomination? Who cares, you know she could really be a great secretary of state or how about the supreme court? What if Edwards doesn't win the nomination? Could you imagine him on the supreme court or attorney general? What if Obama doesn't the nomination this time? Who cares. . . I guarantee he will be President one day! What if Dodd doesn't get it? Who cares. . .maybe he will be help Reid get some backbone or get Reid's job. And Biden, he can do what ever he damn well pleases - he can do it all.
In my drunken stupor, I still have hope for Hillary or Edwards. Only one state has spoken, but each candidate better bring their A game if they are going to stop Obama. Anyone who attempts to go unfairly negative will put a buzz on the party and given the boot. (Note, each time Hillary or Edwards went negative, it backfired) Each of them is going to have to inspire with words, actions and policies to win. If they can raise their game, it is only better for all of us.
I know we have a way to go, but the fact that so many people participated means that the best candidate will win, so Cheers to Obama! congrats on a great win. I still love my girl Hillary, but there is room in my party for Obama, Edwards and all the great democrats.
And to Huckabee . . . congrats, enjoy your party! The cool popular kids are at mine.
