This week, President George W. Bush is traveling to the middle east.
Massive security measures are being taken to prepare for the arrival later this week of President George W. Bush in Jerusalem, the West Bank, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt.
While in Israel, Bush is expected to be briefed on the possibly of an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities according to The Times Online.
Clearly, George W. does not see himself as a lame duck president counting down the days until he vacates the Oval Office. You would have to think that he is on a ‘legacy’ mission trying to find a way to put a better public opinion on his presidency. Were it a ‘normal’ individual that we were talking about, you would think that whatever legacy Bush is seeking would be positive and cast him historically as a great world leader. However, since it is George W. Bush that we are talking about here, he may want his legacy to be that of an iron fisted president who beat the crap out of his ‘enemies’. Whatever the outcome, this is going to be a very interesting middle east trip, well worth keeping your eye on.
