I figured out the way that Barack Obama and Isiah Thomas are similar
It seems to me as we move towards Barack Obama's date with destiny in New Hampshire that his message and background haven't been completely vetted.
In fact, it looks much like Barack Obama is the Isiah Thomas of this year's Presidential cycle. Both Isiah and Obama are preaching about change and hope without much to stand on.
I wonder how quickly the mainstream media will turn on Obama and begin to dig into his record, background and positions to find out what he truly believes as he moves forward.
I will be the first person that says that having multiple candidates fighting for the nomination is a great thing. In fact, I really have a hankering for a John Edwards vs. Barack Obama match for the Democratic nomination.
After spending the weekend in NH, seeing everyone except Obama, but talking to people that saw both Obama and Edwards within hours of each other, I think that Edwards' specific message can trump Obama's perceived edge.
Because no matter how inspiring a person can be, we still need results.
So until I see definite policy platforms and some kind of action, I have to say that Obama and Isiah have one more thing in common besides their love of basketball and that's their delusional preaching of hope with no definite platform from which to issue it from.
