What do you guys think?
I think Obama acquits himself well. Here's basically what he said (paraphrasing) -
"Let me just spell out the story very clearly. I moved to Chicago, I didn't grow up in Chicago. And after getting out of Law school I was involved in a bunch of civic activities; and the gentleman in question - Bill Ayers is a college professor, who teaches education at the University of Illinois and that's how I met him was working on a school reform project that was funded by an ambassador and former close friend of Ronald Reagan's. So I was sitting on this board with a whole bunch of conservative business men and civic leaders and he was one of the people sitting on this board, and he lives in the same neighborhood, ultimately I learned that he was involved in this reprehensible act 40 years ago, but I was 8 years old at the time, so I assumed that he had been rehabilitated........"
There's a lot more. Listen to it.
