Everyone's all giddy about the possibility of a "filibuster-proof" 60-seat majority in the Senate. But don't we really need 61? I mean, aren't we just setting ourselves up to make Joe "The Biggest Tool In The Universe" Lieberman king-maker again?
For the past two years, it's been "don't be mean to Joe" and "Sure, he's out there calling our candidate a terrorist" and "Let's not make Joe mad." Geez, this has got to be driving Harry Reid to distraction.
So if we're only gonna get 60, I say we throw one of our promising candidates overboard and settle for 59. That, or work our butts off to get to 61. Whadayasay?
