I just received an email and video from the Obama Campaign that I wanted to share with everyone.
Now, I suppose that the majority of folks here from Wisconsin got the same email regarding Early Voting, but I thought I would pass it along anyway.
Dear [personal name deleted],
You don't have to wait until November 4th to vote for Barack.
Right now supporters like you are stepping up to show their support by voting early.
In Wisconsin, you can vote early by mail or in-person right now. It's fast, easy, and crucial to our Get Out The Vote effort.
Barack recorded a special message about Early Voting in Wisconsin and why it's so important. Watch the video, share it with your friends and family, and then find your Early Vote location.
We have, of course, constantly witnessed the effectiveness and efficiency of the Obama ground game; thus, the email was not that surprising.
However, the email also references a video that Obama made.
Brilliant.
What strikes me about this video is how it offers a taste of Obama's roots as an organizer combined with a pure passion and sense of excitement. It reaches out to the voter in a very personal way.
Obviously the video was cut at Obama's recent rally in downtown LaCrosse (when he enters the crowded street a "Lacrosse for Obama" is visible in the upper part of the screen).
I dont know - maybe I am too easily impressed, but I think its pure genius. No matter, it was a nice way to start Monday.
I plan to vote early this week in WI, so that I can be available on Nov.
4.
