Washington is facing many very important down-ticket races that trump our work for Obama. He's going to win this state, but our governor may not. We need to work for her, and we need to work for her supporting cast. As campaign coordinator for a state representative candidate in an open seat, we stand a strong chance of picking up a seat and moving us one step closer to a super majority. But we're in a difficult, Republican district. Don't believe me? Look at the totals from this coffee shop bean vote:
McCain at a 3-1 advantage for President? We're fighting an uphill battle. Please help.
Our challenger for position 1 is a republican-appointed partisan who bookends the long-time position 2 candidate. They've voted against our district and against our needs for years. We have little chance of gaining any funding for growth and strong social improvements unless we make a dent into their base. The times are tough for a lot of people in this district and we're seeing our donations start to slow at their most important time to come in.
If you can find anything to send our way, we'd deeply appreciate it. Tim Knue is a life-long resident of this area and has lived in almost every corner of a very unique, spread out district. He's worked as an agricultural educator in an area with an economy driven by farming.
These are the races that have the largest affect on people locally, and we can't let strong leadership fall by the wayside for higher races. Down ticket races are won and lost by narrow margins, so we need all the help we can get. This isn't an easy fight, but we've doorbelled over 14,000 voters, phone banked 13,000, and have worked tirelessly for months.
We can't lose this race; we can't let Washington fall by the wayside for this district for any longer due to ineffectual leadership. Let's keep Washington blue and progressive. Go to www.timknue.com and help make the blue wave a tsunami this November. We're all in this together. Even if you can't donate, please recommend so that all can see!
