I'm not going to post this video which much comment, because it pretty much speaks for itself. I will note, though, that the following is a side of McCain we've all speculated exists. He's already made public displays of his antisocial crotchetiness and provided us hints of his explosive temper and instability. But the following footage is the kind of wholesale display of angst that McCain's campaign would be loathe to post on youtube.
In my line of work, it's what we call a "show stopper." Unfortunately for Steve Schmidt et al., though, the video is already making its rounds on the internets. So we can expect the McCain campaign to descend into full damage control today in an effort to stifle the public relations nightmare that the following optics will beget:
If this the way McCain portrays himself in the warm, friendly company of Obama and the comfortable, even soothing, setting of Hofstra University, can you imagine how would comport himself in a "don't blink," high-stakes showdown with Palin's airspace invading cross-straight nemesis, Vladimir Putin?
The imagery doesn't exactly instill confidence, does it?
