Today, Todd Palin and Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) will be at a Gander Mountain store in Hermantown (by Duluth) MN. Our local paper has a cover story on this; rightfully so, as we seldom get any candidates anywhere near here. I must say, this is a point of bittersweet pride for me, because the region's so blue few usually bother.
The title of the article wasn't the typical "Oh WOW, they noticed us!", but
Some question Palin's visit to Hermantown Gander Mountain

The article quotes a local in wondering if it's appropriate, and "promises" to boycott Gander. A counter-rally is planned, of course (though I can't attend due to work commitments), but what I found interesting is the company's response to questions:
Gander Mountain spokesman David Ewald said the company grants use of its stores to any group that supports outdoors issues. If a pro-Obama group wanted to use the parking lot, he said, Gander Mountain probably would agree — as long as the group promoted the company’s principles.
Has anyone else noticed political rallys at Gander Mountains for either Democrats or Republicans?
The company website lists stores in: (traveling W to E) CO, TX, ND, KS, MN, IA, AR, WI, IL, MS, TN, MI, IN, KY, AL, FL, OH, VA, WV, NC, PA, NY, MD
