A couple of days ago we were treated to the latest right wing outrage: Barack Obama standing in front of the Ohio state flag.
Of course, the uber-patriots of the right mistook Ohio's flag, with its big 'O,' for an Obama campaign flag. The outrage has seemed to pass pretty quickly when the truth of the matter was discovered. Perhaps we won't hear any more about it. It may even mark the limit of the ridiculous faux outrage of the right, who knows.
As a bit of follow-up, however, I wanted to share with you an 1860 O-flag, that of Mr. Lincoln. He had his own campaign flag, check it out:
What would today's confederates say about this first Republican president's campaign flag that so besmirched our honor? I'm nearly fainting with faux delirium.
