Eyecandy
It must be me, I am getting set in my ways as I head towards 40, but seeing a recommended diary which describes women as Eyecandy is a bit too much for me.
We are still going through a great debate about the role of women in politics, not as much with Sarah Palin, because the victim card keeps getting produced by Conservatives.
I once had an argument about beauty contests with my father, I told him they where demeaning to women, to which he reply, compared to the other stuff out there, he didnt have a problem.
From a personal point of view, it is important, how society respects and values the role of women. Do we want to value them for parading themselves on a stage, instead as architects, engineers, educators or individuals in the military
It is probably just me, I am being over sensitive, but with the advent of a media that brain washes young females into skipping meals, we really have to consider how we define females, isn't it time to move beyond the cover and endeavour to have a society that inspires people, regardless of their gender, that realise their full potential.
