Yesterday, after Senator Joe Biden made his stump speech in Tacoma, WA, he joined in a conference call with Veterans and Military Families for Obama.
I was invited to be a part of this conference call and took the liberty to record it. In case this was not made available to the public I am posting it up on Sound Upload for all to hear.
Here is the link to the original invitation and comments page from Obama's website.
Beware, the sound quality is not the greatest (even after my edits) but the message is a good one and the excitement was apparent after General Powell's endorsement of Barack that morning.
Tammy Duckworth, a wounded Blackhawk Pilot, began the conference call. She made the call from a plane and praised Obama and Biden for their record on veteran's affairs.
Jim Mowar (sp?), Senator Biden's Veterans Director during his presidential campaign, is on the next portion of this call and he introduces Joe Biden in this clip. Please understand that the audio quality is not very good at all, thus is the nature of the conference call, and Joe Biden has a cold on top of that.
I had to break these up into four parts in order to have them hosted under the 5Mb limit. These links have been tested and all appear to work after several hours of work (forgot to turn my own mic off... DOH!) and trying to clean up some of the background noise, even editing out one of Joe's worst coughing fits. Hopefully Joe the Senator is drinking plenty of orange juice and recovers fast from this cold he's got. We need ya Joe!
If anyone would like to type up a transcript I will post it up here as well, I just don't have the patience nor the ability to understand the exact words with the audio difficulties.
Please send me any spelling corrections as well if I have spelled these soldier's names incorrectly.
