A little over an hour ago, CNN posted on its website details from an interview with Palin. In the interview she talks about what she and McCain would do if elected. First,
"It's going to be government reform because that, that is what I've been able to do as a mayor and as a governor, you, you take on the special interests and the self-dealings. Yep, you ruffle feathers and you have the scars to prove it,"
The validity of this claim is dubious at best. Not to mention her reference to "self-dealings". What exactly does this mean?
interview
Palin continues her interview with CNN's Drew Griffin regurgitating the standard talking points...executive experience as mayor and governor, reforming Wall St. and so on.
Most notably, Palin offers a suspect "apology" for her assertion that some parts of the country are more "American" than others, and continues to hint that Obama is a "socialist" stating,
"I'm not going to call him a socialist, but as 'Joe the Plumber' has said, it looks like socialism to him," she said of Joe "the plumber" Wurzelbacher.
Nothing revealed in this interview that we haven't heard, but what strikes me is the lack of depth or follow-up that seems to have generated Palin's responses.
In fact, this "interview" doesn't seem like an interview at all, but rather a regurgitation of Palin Campaign Speak 101.
