Sarah Palin has managed to convince most sane Americans that she has extremely limited knowledge about the world we live in. She has also (no pun intended) proven that she is incapable of piecing together a coherent sentence unless it's spelled out on a teleprompter.
For obvious reasons, she probably won't be holding any press conferences prior to the election. But even if she did, would it be possible to assert anything about what she would do as President?
I've tried to use my imagination. What would a potential Palin presidency be like? The conclusion: I have no idea!
The only thing that I'm increasingly convinced about is that she would be a puppet! Maybe not 100%, but perhaps more like 80%. I'm thinking: "Miss Piggy" with a human face :-). Plenty of anger, plenty of charm, but essentially controlled by others.
In order to get her to sign onto presidential decisions her puppet-masters would somehow have to tap into her values and belief systems (whatever they are) but with her tabula rasa brain I'm convinced that she could be programmed to support absolutely anything.
Listening to her latest plagiarism of Hillary, I'm almost thinking that she could have made a good president, as long as progressive Democrats were hired as all her key advisors :-)
When I read this In-depth piece in the New Yorker I guess I got a somewhat better idea of who the puppet-masters may be.
It doesn't provide much comfort.
I'm personally of the opinion that W. in his eight years at the White House has been at least 50% a puppet in a Muppet Show controlled by Cheney, Rumsfeld and others with amazing "art direction" by Ari Fleischer.
What I love about Obama (and Joe Biden for that matter) is not only the changes that they promise to implement, but that you can rest assured that THEY will actually be in charge of the change.
