Henry Thoreau said, "Goodness is the only investment that never fails." Taking those sentiments to heart, my brother, Tom, known in these parts as LearningCurve has developed an investment strategy that I have adopted and which I now heartily endorse.
Any time you are inspired by the actions of a candidate or charity, send a small check. Anytime the opposition really gets your goat, send the good guys a small donation. If you have to think hard or gulp, it's too much. Make it small enough so that you don't get in trouble with your significant other or your landord. Make it small enough so that you'll be in a position to make another small donation next week or next month.
You'll be amazed at how empowered you feel. The best part is it works.
We all know that when Michelle Bachmann said that Barack Obama and other Dems likely held "Anti-American views." her campaign imploded.
But it only imploded because everyday folks voted in small amounts with their wallets

Now Bachmann is sputtering and backtracking
The cost of participating in this moment? Twenty-five dollars. The feeling? Priceless.
This is my first diary, and I'm no doubt preaching to the choir. But I'm now convinced that regular small donations to the good guys can make all the difference in the world.
