I think that if Obama plans on making any more stops out West in Colorado this week, he should seriously consider putting together a HUGE rally in Phoenix as a demoralizing blow to the McCain campaign and take advantage of the new poll numbers "surging" there.
A rally like this in McCain's home state of Arizona, just when the race is tightening there, might be a great investment to help put Obama over the top in the minds of many undecideds there, where, I presume (it’s my home state, though I live in Chicago now), there are many due to the large population influxes of the past few decades and the recent blue shifts. The symbolic power of a large draw there would be a gut shot to McCain and might just produce an upset if timed right.
On a personal note, and I know I speak for many Arizonans, when I say it would be nice to see a Blue Arizona on Nov. 5th to repudiate Republicans like McCain and Renzi, as well as the hateful Sherrif "Joe the Nazi" Arpaio knuckle-draggers, and hateful border politics that have plagued this majestic state for decades.
Consider also what a morale-boosting 100K+ crowd in Phoenix would do for the Democratic party's efforts and recent surges there, the MSM news cycle dominance in these final days and as a killing blow to McCain who recently said, "I've a wonderful life. I have to go back and live in Arizona, be in the United States Senate representing them, a wonderful family, daughters and sons that I'm so proud of and a life that's been blessed."
The again, would an act like this just be political napalming? O...the irony...
O...the justice...
Obama O8!
