I live in Denver.
I read Mike Litwin's column in The Rocky Mountain News regularly. Last Saturday's column made me laugh out loud. Particularly this line:
And if McCain's campaign is now defined everywhere by low polls and high desperation - which, I know, sounds like a Righteous Brothers song - Colorado still matters more than the other guys.
However, I disagree. I don't think it sounds like the Righteous Brothers at all. It reminds more of a Country Western song. One by Garth Brooks actually. So, follow me below the fold for....
(Sung to the tune of "I've Got Friends in Low Places" and with obvious apologies to Garth.)
LOW POLLS AND HIGH DESPERATION
Oh, he's got low polls and high desperation
Poor McCain, it's a sticky situation
'Cause his campaign's toast
From coast to coast.
Unfortunately, that's as much as I could come up with. Any and all suggestions to add to/improve are welcome.
Thanks!
