That's right - NINETEEN percent more votes have gone the way of Obama since early voting began according to a new Pew Research poll. So far about 12.3million people have voted. Now, while it's fully expected that this margin will tighten, how incredible is this number?
It is estimated that one third of voters will vote early this year due to the over riding enthusiasm on both sides. Given the fact that Barack Obama has the run probably the best campaign ever seen in American politics, it is no surprise that early voting has gone his way. .
From the Associated Press...
This is the fourth consecutive survey by Pew that shows McCain trailing Obama among registered voters since the end of September. Asked whether McCain would be like President Bush or go his own way, 47 percent say the Republican would continue Bush's policies compared with 40 percent who say McCain would take the country in a new direction. Both men and women lean toward Obama. Blacks overwhelming back the Democrat, while whites are split between the two candidates. More independent voters support Obama over McCain, 48 percent to 31 percent.

"Both men and women lean toward Obama."
Clearly, these numbers speak to the sheer enthusiasm of Obama's supporter - Seventy-four percent of Obama's backers say they support him strongly; 56 percent of McCain's supporters do. McCain's support has significantly declined in most demographics since mid-September; He only holds clear advantages among Republicans and white evangelicals. Even then, i fully believe some younger evangelical Christians are going to get on board the fast-paced Obama train. These numbers are certainly looking good for Obama thus far! Shh.. don't tell anyone at Redstate...
Also, remember there's talk of in-fighting in the McCain Campaign. Everything seems to be going according to the plan at the moment for Barack. But, as repeated often around these parts - we can't afford to assume easy victory. This is just a quick diary to give you a status report. There is still more work to be done, people! Good work so far!
