By now many of you have received that scary CD from the Clarion Fund regarding radical Islam called C*session (i.e. a play on Obsession).

What a coincidence? There just happens to be a democratic candidate who is within six days from winning the Presidency with a name which some republicans interpret to mean that he is a muslim and is also linked to radical Islam. Who would'a thunk it?
Next, I received a call from a supposed un-biased automated pollster (identified only as Survey2000) regarding who I would be voting for on November 4th in the Presidential election.
As soon as I responded that I was voting for Barack Obama the automated questionnaire became combative. Go figure. There's more...
Believe it or not, the automated questionnaire alerted me that Obama was pro-choice while I responded that I was pro-life. What the automated questionnaire failed to understand is that I am PRO-ALL-LIFE. That is to say that I value the life of unborn and the life of the living. My take is that the right-wing in our society should be as vigilent in saving the life of the living as they are in saving the life of the not-yet-living.
Pardon me for a moment as I stray away from the fraudulent survey that a took part in so that I can vent.
Far too often I hear from the conservative wing-nuts that Obama kills babies. Well Bush and the conservatives kill even more babies. Here is the records of the so-called compasionate conservatives:
- They have sent a generation of young adults to die in a war based on lies---the lives of those that died extinguished many generations of families.
- They support a system that allows almost 50 million people to be without healthcare---some die from inadequate care.
- They support a system that has put 27 countries ahead of the United States in having lower infant mortality rates whilst the US is the richest nation in the world.
- They support giving more money to rich folks and deem a progressive tax designed to help the lower and middle classes as socialism and marxsism.
- They support a failed public school system---that help to push the uneducated into crime and drugs because of their despair.
All these things are supported by the so-called conservative pro-life crowd. I sometimes wonder if their "Joe-Six-Pack" supports drunk driving? I mean afterall, what's so bad about driving drunk? Bush did it when he was young? I can only deduce that this is all in the name of being pro-life.
Back to the survey. The automated host rattled off several really harsh assessments of Obama's voting record on abortion and went so far as to call him the most liberal senator in Congress. It then asked me if I would change my vote. As I battled with the automated host regarding my support for Barack it continued to spew more Repbulican talking points.
Finally, the un-biased opinion poll ended. Boy was I thrilled. However, I can now say I am better prepared to talk to a wing-nut Republican having had a practice run.
