So the Earned Income Tax credit is a redistributive (wealth) policy huh? Wow, this has been around for some time. I bet there are other tax breaks and credits already on the books that assist working Americans keep a little more of their money. So have we been leaning to socialism all along, or is this just another cheap GOP bait and switch game?
I don't think most Americans, I certainly did not, that we are currently involved in redistribution of wealth policies. And they are not bad. The earned income credit, that I try to get whenever I can, has been around and it is a "redistributive" policy created by Ronald Reagan, a republican. David Gergan discusses this in an interview earlier this week on CNN.
I like how they discuss the malfunctioning of the Republican party and the drama that is ensuing. He also says the Dems have not properly answered the question. I also wonder why democrats have not simply just explained progressive taxation to the public and how there has always been redistribution policies in place. I am sure Joe the plumber has taken advantage of these over the years.

I have already voted here in NC, but I listened to Ed Rendell on Rachel Maddow the other night and he said the folks in PA were confused, they are hearing so many things. I wonder if it would help if dems, volunteers could break down some of this socialist stuff, if it would help? Personally, I believe at this point people already know who they are going to vote for, whether they admit it or not.
