The ability to wink at a camera and sound like a complete idiot are NOT reasons to vote for someone.
My family is from a small town right here in America. We're not Washington insiders and we've never met a leader from a foreign country.
But I want to be clear when I say that NOBODY in my family can identify with, relate to, or even sympathize with Sarah Palin.
And why should we? I mean, we don't hunt and kill animals for sport and we don't shoot stray canines from airplanes. Unlike Mrs. Palin, we don't live in a mansion on a lake or own over $1 Million dollars in assets. My wife, Mom, and Mother-in-law are very beautiful women , but they've never been in a beauty pageant. We can see the moon from our windows, but we don't claim to be astrology experts. We've never had our priest give us a blessing to protect us from witchcraft. We're small towners, but we do not use corn ball folksy language when talking about important issues. And every one of us can name more than one Supreme Court decision.
After the Vice Presidential debate, we realized the only thing we have in common with Sarah Palin is a lack of detailed understanding of the issues critical to our country and the world... and even then we have a difference because my family can admit that we are not qualified to be president or vice president of the United States!
Sorry, but shared ignorance is NOT a reason to vote for someone!
Which brings us to the top of the ticket: John McCain. We certainly cannot relate to this man. Heck, our entire family combined cannot match the number of houses, cars, and wives McCain totals.
McCain/Palin are not only out of touch with the economic and international emergencies facing America, but, on a personal level, they are out of touch with my entire family.
