Now that the AP has picked up our story (without attribution to the blog, of course, and also spelling Loudoun County wrong - mass media morons!), I was thinking a bit more about Arlington and Alexandria, which Joe McCain said yesterday were "Communist Country." With that, just a few factoids for your Sunday enjoyment:
*John McCain attended Episcopal High School, a private preparatory boarding school in Commie Alexandria.
*For "Communist Country," Arlington's doing pretty well. In 2006, the median income for a household in Arlington was $87,350, and the median income for a family in Arlington was $116,114. But watch out, those Commies are coming soon to take that money away from them. Bwahahahahahahaha!
*According to Business Wire (a Commie front organization, no doubt - ha), Arlington has a "deep and diverse economy, strong financial management and a moderate and rapidly retired debt burden." Arlington also has a "property tax rate [that] remains among the lowest in northern Virginia."
*John McCain owns a condo - one of his countless homes - in Arlington and has his national campaign HQ in Arlington as well. So far, the "commies" haven't driven him out, but believe me, they are working on it. (cue maniacal laughter!)
* Just a thought, but all those years that John McCain commuted from Arlington to DC, was that like going from nominally communist China to really REALLY communist North Korea? ***snark***
P.S. The photo at the top is of Arlington County Commissar...er, Commissioner of Revenue Ingrid Morroy and that other noted Commie, Arlington resident Jim Webb. My god, they're EVERYWHERE!!!
UPDATE: A few more interesting things in "Commie" Arlington - the Pentagon, the Iwo Jima Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, Ronald Reagan National Airport...
