Yeah, yeah, I know. But these folks (hehe) are always good for a laugh and I needed one this morning. And I have to say it really did cheer me up to see them discussing why they are swingin' in the wind after being hoist on their own dirty petards. (Hey, its Sunday, I'll mix metaphors if I want!)
An excerpt from a piece crossposted at FR this morning:
The problem with the McCain campaign is that our war hero can’t find the battlefield. The big war being fought at home is a culture war with fundamental social, political, and economic ramifications. Too many Americans are being left on this battlefield and John McCain is AWOL.
Hahaha, I love how they paint McCain as a bumbling doofus. And no, absolutely, its not the economy. Of course people care more about gay marriage then keeping the electricity on. That should be obvious to everyone right?
Various replys to this gem of a piece.
At least one of them reads the handwriting on the wall:
I am worried that McCain, like Hubert Humphrey and Gerald Ford before him, is going to catch his stride and surge a little bit too late.
These last 3 weeks have been devastating to us. Absolutely devastating.
the "incumbant" party in this case is the dems who control congress and who’s dem presidents set us up for this as far back as carter and clinton.....bush and mccain both brought forth the problems and suggested solutions, while the dems denied any problems and fought changes that could have saved us from this crisis.
McCain must have some serious skeletons in the closet for him to vote for a massively pork-filled bailout bill.
Good news:
So true. I’ll not vote for either of them on the 4th in 3o days.
How do things look in SE Ohio? Will the Clinton Dems vote for McCain or just stay home?
We are surrounded by Surrender Monkeys within our own ranks..... this, and our failure to stand united, could lead to our own peril.... in only 30 days.
McCain has voted AGAINST me on the bailout, CFR, Amnesty, judges, WOT, etc and has sabotaged (weakened) Bush at EVERY turn. A great way to win "friends". ROFL. No, I'm taking a pass on the party of ONE. Until a GOP candidate is willing to distance themselves from the ‘Rats they will lose. Mike Pence and Jim DeMint come to mind.
Let’s be real. McCain is losing because the public does not think the country is going in the right direction. McCain seems clueless in why that is so. We have heard him relate why Obama should not be President [even more to come during closing weeks] but not what his Republican vision is to change the direction of the country.
There's a lot of anger at McCain over there. I expected to see a lot of media bashing and Obama bashing but the majority seemed to be concerned with the failures of McCain, and that, my friends, is just as it should be.
