I don't know. I'm kind of irritated today. Kind of let down. Kind of wondering what the Republicans will resort to to try and get McCain back into contention in this election. Because everybody knows that as of today, down 8 points in Gallup and Rasmussen nationally, McCain is done.
So I guess I am just disappointed in my fellow Americans today. I am disappointed in the Hate Stoking tactics. But I am not surprised. Not really.
Bear in mind that this is what we will be hearing in the Republican echo chamber for the next 8 years. Nothing rational. Nothing well intentioned.
Everything hateful and misguided.
Because Republicans really know how to hate. They hate when they roll out of bed in the morning. They hate with a vengeance. And they support their haters with 300 million dollar salaries (Rush Limbaugh), prime time news gigs (Glen Beck), racist enclaves (Lou Dobbs) and bullshit mainline low information sedation (Fox News).
I guess I just needed to own my feelings of disgust.
I so look forward to Obama spanking McCain tonight. I think this will be Obama's best debate. Because he is so "Cool Hand Luke" to the core. He will know how and when to hit McCain. And I don't think McCain will be prepared for the shots Obama will take at him.
I predict that Obama throws his own version of the kitchen sink back at McCain tonight.
I will be online tracking with the Dkos community. I have not been let down so far. McCain is the shaky candidate. He is likely to produce a "gaffe track" tonight. McCain is not bad at debates, but he is bad at being an asshole. He doesn't pull it off with the same level of deceit and self-righteousness that W. did in his prime.
Man I feel a little better after this semi-vent posting.
