Greg Palast has been warning the American people about vote purges, caging lists, and discriminatory registration for eight years now, but you just couldn't get anyone to listen (are you surprised?).
The New York Times FINALLY picked up this story, albeit weakly.
Unlike what the article says,
THIS IS A PARTISAN ISSUE.
Black voters are 900% more likely to have their votes thrown away, not be counted, or be challenged at the polls. Hispanics and Native Americans are asked to fill out provisional ballots which are thrown away because people draw an X instead of a circle.
THIS IS A PARTISAN ISSUE.
People with "unusual names," missing SSNs from an inaccurate, pathetically-maintained federal list, or who have the SAME NAME (Like Thomas Marshall, John Jackson, Carl Freeman...) as convicted felons are NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE.
THIS IS A PARTISAN ISSUE.
Steal Back Your Vote is a comic book project by Greg Palast and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. You can download the comic book for any small donation you want to make, and they pass out voter guides for every $100 donated. It's a really good cause, and it's more important than EVER that people understand how to get their votes counted. Like the NYT article says, voters are being purged in:
Colorado
Indiana
Ohio
Michigan
Nevada
North Carolina
These are the most important swing states in this election.
If you can vote early, do it, and volunteer on Election Day. Stand outside a polling place and ask people if they were allowed to vote. Make sure you get them to report election fraud even if they think it's not worth it. It is SO WORTH IT.
We all know about electronic voting machines "mysteriously" deleting Democratic votes, but no one seems to take it seriously. We all know that Obama has to win by a HUGE margin to overcome the head start Republicans get from their election fraud. GOTV and make sure those votes get counted.
