Just breaking on MSNBC and Politico, Oliver, the questioner that asked the question regarding the details of the bailout had a rebuke on McCain's response. Turns out, he has actually heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He has posted his response on Facebook. Albeit he is leaning towards to Obama, it seems that McCain did himself a great disservice by being condescending.

- How did I feel about Sen. McCain stating "You probably never heard of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac before this."
Well Senator, I actually did. I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent person. I have a bachelor degree in Political Science from Tennessee State, so I try to keep myself up to date with current affairs. I have a Master degree in Legal Studies from Southern Illinois University, a few years in law school, and I am currently pursuing a Master in Public Administration from the University of Memphis. In defense of the Senator from Arizona I would say he is an older guy, and may have made an underestimation of my age. Honest mistake. However, it could be because I am a young African-American male. Whatever the case may be it was somewhat condescending regardless of my age to make an assumption regarding whether I was knowledgeable about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Oops.
I think this just serves to confirm that notion that McCain is out of touch. With our economy going the way it is, does McCain actually propose that the majority of the public doesn't know about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? McCain's campaign may want to keep bringing up nonstories like Ayers, Wright and ACORN, but they are seriously misreading the public's view.
Ayers: Relationship considered "tenuous" at best
ACORN:
In a conference call with GOP attorneys recently, I asked if they could provide a single example of any duplicate or fraudulent application resulting in someone actually voting twice or someone voting that shouldn't have been allowed to vote. They couldn't.
The second article by Eviatar notes something that I probably should have noted in my article about the subject, which is that in those few cases where canvassers actually submit fraudulent applications, ACORN is the victim of that behavior, not the perpetrator:
But in the cases cited as evidence of voter fraud by ACORN -- most notably one cited as the worst case of voter fraud in the state of Washington, where seven people were convicted last year -- the prosecutor himself noted that it was a scheme by a few individuals to make money. No one was actually trying to influence the outcome of the election.
It turned out that workers who were paid to register voters had copied names out of phone books rather than going out and doing their jobs of signing up real voters. Of course, none of those people showed up to

And my god, if they truly try to bring up Reverend Wright, may I just point to:
This is a very dark ally that the McCain campaign seems to be going down. If they think that when a America is experience daily a further loss in stocks, a credit freeze, mortgages and foreclosure rates increasing, job loss increases, and a public mood of dissent and worry, they can bring up distractions, then they are truly "out of touch".
