I know that the results from the 2008 contest are not all in yet, but I have already given some thought to who Barack Obama will face for reelection. The scenario I see involves Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Bobby Jindal, Haley Barbour and probably some other governors such as Tim Pawlenty, Mark Sanford, Bob Riley. Looking at this list makes me think that Bobby Jindal is by far the toughest. That is why I am proposing that we make sure he loses reelection in 2011.

Of course, to make sure that Jindal is defeated, we need a good challenger. I feel that kos should (as soon as he begins pollingagain)commission a poll to test the baseline strength against Jindal, as well as some of the top choices to run against Jindal. Approval, reaction to Jindal running for president should also be tested.
This list could include:
-Charlie Melancon (my top pick)
-John Breaux
-Don Cazayoux
-Mitch Landrieu
-etc.
(please suggest any other viable options)
Once we have a strong candidate, the progressive community should convince (draft??) that candidate to run. Then we should help that candidate beat Jindal in 2011. Even if they lose, they will still draw him away from the trail in Iowa/ NH/ SC.
YES WE CAN!!
