It's just come out today that the final vote talley in the 2nd District has given Obama a 3325 vote lead. Now he's making another piece of history, the first candidate to split a states electoral votes, and the first Democrat to win any of Nebraska's electoral votes since Lyndon B. Johnson narrowly won the state in his 1964 landslide reelection.

This also means that Jim Esch actually underperformed Obama in losing to Congressman Lee Terry 52-48. Just amazing results though, this now gives Obama 365 electoral votes to McCain's 162, and with Missouri's votes likely to stay with McCain in my opinion, that would put the final total at 365-173.
