yesterday i let my rhetoric get ahead of me on a diary about abortion rights. a mild pro-choicer waffled he's uncomfortable with abortion, though he supports our right to it and, bluntly, i said "get over it."
and off we went.
i'm not apologizing for ranting (screw civility, sometimes) but perhaps i could have been ... less opaque. in a soft voice i could have explained the inherent hubris in a person who qualifies their support of abortion rights, as if their personal discomfort somehow needs to be reconciled before we can say to a woman, "Ok, you know your needs best. You do what you need to do."
