Ive only been following Politics since this election. Although Ive learned a lot on my own, enough to think I'm a lil smart, I don't claim too be thoroughly knowledgable. One thing I've managed too do is to find some real good online resources for knowledge, especially during the primaries.
Im not a poll-monger but they are fun too watch while anticipating what an outcome will look like during the primaries...and eventually the election itself.
An excellent site we all used for POLLS has been Nate Silver's site www.fivethirtyeight.com. Now I loved having this lil site I could rely on for numbers, impressing my friends with the knowledge or graphs I found from this man's heavily traffiked, blog. Well unfortuNATE for me...but luckily for Mr. Silver...this mans site has become the same thing for many more folks. Not just people like you and me...but some names. I think the first time Ive seen him featured on a show was on Keith Olbermann's Countdown. Then later on Rachel..a show I kinda expected to see him on. Recently I saw him on Colbert...that wasn't expected and a great boost for his name. TODAY I was watching hardball with Chris Matthews... now even though I have too take breaks from Chris Matthews, cause I dont always agree with his train of thought, hardball usually only has the most vetted names/respected politicians...I feel like Nate's appearence on Matthews...is a big sign of respect from the news industry. I'm expecting nate to get offered positions in television (the next Chuck Todd or something). Some big wig, somewhere..is gonna wanna get Nate on their team..and fast!
So even though Nate Probably wont read this diary...in case he does..Big ups too Nate! Congrats on being recognized for your smarts sir!
