Now that the old "bait and switch" has been done AGAIN by the Bush administration does anyone get the feeling that we are getting screwed yet once more? I for one am sick and tired of having so-called "leaders" in Washington, that Bush has appointed or given jobs to, who don't know what the hell they are doing. Remember the "Brownie you're doing as great job" fiasco? Something needs to be done before he and his cronies burn the White House down, " It was an accident", before Obama can move in. This man and his friends are "RAPING" this country and the rest of us, and there is nothing we can do about it except wait for Jan 20, 2009.
There is a very simple, and what I feel is logical, conclusion to this problem. Now that the banks have proven that they don't give a crap about you and me, the auto industry has proven for years they don't give a crap either, let's leave it up to the one group that cares more about America than any of our leaders. US. That is right, you and me To hell with giving the money to the banks, the auto industry and any other asshole group who is just gonna lie. Give the money to the American people. I say that it is time for the bullcrap to stop and the real "New Deal for AMERICA" to begin. Who drives the economy? We do. Who spends the money to buy the products that create the jobs? We do. Who makes the best decisions for our households? We do. Who is getting the shaft and not seeing a dime? US. So is it socialistic for the government to give us back some of our money?
So let's take back the money that the banks got and add it to what is left and give it to every household in America that pays taxes. I can stand to use a few thousand, how about you? If every American household that has their taxes paid was given a check for let's say $10,000 and told that it must be spent to help the economy, do you think they wouldn’t? Hell yes. Home foreclosures would start getting better because some would use the money to help keep them stay in their homes without having to "borrow" from a damn bank. Some would use the money to send their kids to college. Some would use the money to pay off the car loan, the furniture loan, or any other kind of loan. Some would buy "big ticket" items and others would save it. All of these things would help who, us. Then we could just bypass the banks that don't want to loan their money anyway. So I say Hell with the banks, we got money from our own government. It's our money anyway, so we are just getting money from ourselves. Money would flow into the economy because people would have money to spend. That is the major problem as I see it. The middle-class is broke. All this damn double talk about the economy just confuses the whole issue. All these "experts" and they can't get it right. Give us a try and we'll show you how to get things moving again. And if this doesn't work then we can only blame ourselves. No Paulson, Bush, or anyone else. I have faith that the America people can solve this problem on our own without the help of an administration that really doesn't give a crap about us anyway.
George Bush once commented after his second election that he had "Political Capital" and he was gonna use it. Looks like he spent all of his and most of ours too. We the people have to stop this madness. At the rate things are going is there gonna be anything left for Obama to govern? States, businesses, and individuals are broke and the government wants to give money to banks so they can "lend" it. Hell no. As they have proven they are not gonna do right. I say loan the automakers the money so we can start producing the right kinda car and the first 10,000 of them are bought by the government and individual states, at a reduced rate, to replace the gas-drinking hogs they drive today. Fire all the executives, with no severance package, and regulate the auto industry like it belongs to the public. And for every green car bought in the country, it comes with an automatic $2500 rebate check from us. Money starts to flow and off we go. We have to turn the corner or we are not gonna get to a green economy.
Now that the Bush administration has again proven how inept it is, put the problem in the hands of those who make this country great, you and me.
