Few days ago we all heard shocking news of Gov. Dean resigning from DNC chairmanship at the end of this term. I say shocking because at least many of us believe Dean did an excellent job as DNC chairman despite facing heavy criticism from many in Democratic party establishment.
In simple words, I think it would be safe to say that many of us in blogosphere love Howard Dean.
Yesterday, Huffington Post released a report "Rahm Emanuel Roasts Stephen Colbert"(along with video) from Charity Event at Spina Bifida Association.
I heard something in first 45-59 seconds of the video that I thought was a bit odd.
Here are Rahm's word from that video:
"I took the job despite the fact that when first time after the story broke, President elect Obama received over five hundred calls telling him what a horrible idea it was to choose me, and all five hundred calls were from Howard Dean".
Now I personally think that President Elect selected him for his toughness and his ability to keep members of house and senate (specially democrats) in line. Rahm is very result oriented and knows how to get the job done. He has been praised by left, right and independent. Jim Manley (Sen. Reid's adviser), Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham, Bill Kristol, Evan Bayh, and George Stephanapolous... all have good things to say about him. But still when I heard these words from Emanuel (even though they were in jest), I thought it deserved to be discussed.
The video has disappeared from Huffington Post today, but you can still find the report here.

Someone else also post the video on google:

It would be nice to hear a word or two from Governor Dean.
