The Denver Post has an article up about some retiring senators, including Colorado's Wayne Allard, no longer accepting correspondence from their constituents as they prepare to transition to their incoming replacements.
There's a nice little paragraph in the article about why this is perhaps problematic:
Departing members of Congress are officially on duty until January, when the new Congress is sworn in. The paychecks keep coming until then too.
