Gosh, that Matt Drudge. Many of us spoke kindly of him during the primaries. Was he an Obamican?
No, he decidedly never was. He's still the same old tool in the douchebag hat he ever was.
With two wars, a recession, less than 24 hours before polls open and only a little more than 24 hours after they close, Matt Drudge's topic du jour:
Obama "flipping off McCain"
(Caution: if you're one of those who doesn't go to the Drudge Report because you don't want to give him hits, stay away from that link.)
Drudge's attacks have been either silly, false, or both.
The fact that Drudge could possibly postulate that Obama, with a day before the election, would SOMEHOW, SOME WAY, flip off McCain, on purpose, is absolutely ridiculous. This is the guy who has run the most disciplined campaign since Nixon in 1972. Aside from the Punjab reference with Hillary Clinton, hardly a single relevant slip has been made (count aside "typical white woman" or his bowling score, that is).
I know I really shouldn't go on Drudge. But you know what? I'm not angry about this. Only Bush loyalists and the mainstream media are Drudge acolytes. This isn't a "What the hell! Rah rah! Unfair attack diary!" Rather, it's a: Holy crap. This is all they have left. The front page of the Drudge Report, making stuff up, linking to a YouTube video. That's all they have. We have the ideas, we have the people, we have the power.
They used to have the power and the moral turpitude to launch these kind of attacks and win elections. They don't anymore.
It's a beautiful day in America.
