In response to the story of Virgil Goode's office using taxpayer resources to promote the gay erotica film "Eden's Curve," residents of Virginia have a planned a protest to call on Goode to come clean.

Monday's event comes in response to this weekend's WSLS-10 report that Goode's Danville fax machine was used as the official contact for a film festival in Canada. Responding to the misuse of public funds, Goode's spokesman told WSLS-10 that "nothing in that office happened without Goode's permission.
The film was produced by North Theater's art director, Jerry Meadors, and included a special thanks to Rep. Goode in the credits.
Goode's ties to North Theater have been questioned in the past. In 2003, Goode secured a $150,000 earmark for the theater when the president of the theater's board was a supporter and donor to Goode. Goode's wife and longtime aide also sat on the board.
