I am so anxious right now it is killing me. I live in Maryland and will be waking up in 13 hours to make my way to vote for, our man, Barack 'the vote' Obama.
This is a turning point election. Our country can either head forward on a new path and new direction - or we can continue to dwell in fear.
I just can't wait to vote for Obama for the second time (no fraud here - just talking about the primary).
Everyone I know has been working on this campaign - most have never as much as donated to a campaign before. Most of my friends are in their 20s and 30s and every single one has given money and time on behalf of this campaign. My mother, who underwent surgery less than a month ago, has been calling people around the country and taking food to the Obama office in her swing state of Florida.
I am not saying my experience is exceptional - actually the opposite. I just think it shows how much many of us have 'invested' in this race.
We all believe that change is needed. My recommendation to you is if you haven't voted yet - vote early tomorrow. Who knows what shenanigans could happen. Just get 'er done.
I live in Maryland and want with all my heart to hear Maryland called at 8:01 - I am going to give Wolf and John King the benefit of 1 minute to catch their breath.
Here is how I hope tomorrow goes down - This isn't a prediction (my prediction is actually fairly conservative).
I hope Obama picks up Florida, Ohio and Virginia early. I have seen his GOTV operation in person - and been a part of it. I think all three of those states are hinged on GOTV (maybe more than even PA). That's what I'll be looking at to see how long this night goes. I'd love your thoughts too.
I hope you all are as excited as I am to vote tomorrow.
