Connectecut had two questions regarding its constitution on the ballot:
- Shall there be a Constitutional Convention to amend or revise the Constitution of the State?
This is prelude to CT's "Prop 8." Conservatives want to hold a convention which gives them a shot at banning gay marriage through a change in the state constitution. (Boston Globe...)
There will be no convention; The movement was DEFEATED 157406 to 100355!
- Shall the constitution of the state be amended to permit any person who will have attained the age of eighteen years on or before the day of a regular election to vote in the primary for such regular election?
Should those who will be eligible to vote in the general election be able to vote in the primary, if their eligibility-granting birthday falls between them?
I.e. can we increase the pool of young voters?
Yes We Can! 156035 to 90719 says so!
Now, CT just needs to ditch Lie-berman...
