This diary may be short but it should be sweet. There's one more election that will aid our efforts toward a more progressive America. This election will help to tip the balance in favor of a Democratic agenda on the path to a fairer society. It helps to put just one more nail in the failed conservative ideology and creeps our impact into the lion's den of the marginalized Southern Republican Party.
I just gave $100 to Jim Martin for his runoff election against Saxby Chambliss via my DKos Act Blue link. You can access it here as well. We need to think of our efforts on behalf of Jim Martin in terms of their impact on Barack Obama's agenda for America. As the title of this diary suggests, a dollar for Martin is a dollar for Barack. An excerpt from Martin's statement yesterday:
America has elected Barack Obama President, and I say now is the time for all of us to help him succeed. Let's take some time off from partisan politics, we face the biggest challenges of the past 60 years now, let's work together to solve them. I think that starts with helping Barack Obama succeed, not undercutting him for partisan advantage or to protect special interests. And that's the difference in this runoff election. I will do everything I can to help Barack Obama change Washington and get the economy moving again.

Imagine the Presidential campaign was continuing for another month. What would you dig deep to give to Obama? How much would his election mean to you? Well, I'm posting this to ask you to put those dollars and cents together for Barack and send them on South to Georgia. If Barack can draw on a national fundraising base for tens and hundreds of millions in a single month, why can't we put our money where our mouth is for Martin and get him some serious change for change. The Act Blue goal at DKos is $75,000 but I say F that. Let's money bomb Act Blue on behalf of Barack via another Senate vote from Martin and put up a few hundred thousand dollars on our way to millions.
We need to pony up at unprecedented levels in this runoff campaign and make sure we send a message to the conservatives that it's not only a president that we care about. It's a good government run according to our values, the mainstream values of America as we know it. Tell them that we're not a center-right nation after all and that the netroots means business on behalf of a 50 State Strategy.
If you need any motivation in this respect here's two videos that should get you off your asses to give:
Do it for Max Cleland and do it for Barack!!!!
Digg it here!!
