It was a very sunny day yesterday. I actually worked the polls for the very first time and had team members mentioning that they have never seen a turn out like this. And this was with 45% of our precent already voting. President-Elect Obama (I love the sound of that) turned em out. Now I am listening to the right wing nuts and here is what I see. More below the fold.
This is from Malkins website.
That idea that Palin did not know that Africa is a continent is so bogus it boggles the mind. How can anyone who believes himself to be a thinking person even entertain it? It reminds me of the banned-book list said to have been circulated by Palin (but which was of course not), which included titles such as "My Friend Flicka!!!!" You can’t be paying attention and subscribe to such nonsense.
Many Americans feel good about voting a largely inexperienced African-American into the nation’s highest office, yet they somehow justify without blinking the vicious, hateful trashing of candidate Sarah Palin. It almost seems as though one came at the expense of the other.
The more important question however, does not concern Sarah Palin but, rather Obama: When will the truth about Obama begin to surface? On his campaign financing alone, an entire book could be written.
I am seeing more and more right nuts trying to place blame. Here is another gem.
I would like to know the full and exact context of any conversation in which Sarah Palin supposedly thought Africa was a nation and not a continent. That sounds like hogwash to me, and someone just "reporting" she thought that without giving any details doesn’t convince me. For example, someone might have been talking about South Africa, which is indeed a nation, then started talking about Africa while Palin thought they were still talking about South Africa. There are countless possibilities for confusion there, and without having all the details we can’t know. Where exactly did Carl Cameron get this information? Presumably from someone who wanted to discredit Palin, which itself makes the report questionable.
Yes it was not Sarah's problem. It was all the bad people that held her back, did not let her get "Mavericky" enough.
I call CRAP. Obama won because he has a vision a true direction for our country. We may have to sacrifice, work hard but in the end we will be a better nation.
Forgot to mention Operation Leper from redstate which leads to Malkin.
RedState is pleased to announce it is engaging in a special project: Operation Leper.
We're tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin to Carl Cameron and others. Michelle Malkin has the details.
We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you'll see us go to war against those candidates.
It is our expressed intention to make these few people political lepers.
They'll just have to be stuck at CBS with Katie's failed ratings.
