State Elected Official Says Obama Conspiring with Terrorists and will declare martial law
From the Houston Chronicle, on November 3, 2008, from the AP:
Headline: "Education Official stands by her Obama terror claim
"State Board of Education member Cynthia Dunbar isn't backing down from her claim that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is plotting with terrorists to attack the U.S.
"In a column posted on the Christian Worldview Network Web site, Dunbar wrote that a terrorist attack on America during the first six months of an Obama administration 'will be a planned effort by those with whom Obama truly sympathizes to take down the America that is threat to tyranny.'
"She also suggests Obama would seek to expand his power by declaring martial law throughout the country."

Democrats need to have a candidate for SBOE 10 to run against Cynthia Dunbar.
They didn't do that last time. She was elected in 2006 with only a Libertarian in opposition, because no Democrat even paid the filing fee, which is $300 or a few hundred signatures.
This district is large. It includes 87% of Fort Bend county, former home of Tom Delay which is just west of Houston. It includes 59% of Travis county, , which includes Austin, and all of Travis north of Town Lake, including most of the most affluent areas of Austin as well as the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. It includes about 20% of Brazoria county, south of Fort Bend, and all of Wiliamson county, north of Travis. It is attached by 100% of each of these largely rural counties: Austin, Bastrop, Burleson, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Lavaca, Lee, Milam, Waller, and Washington.
Mrs. Dunbar is up from re-election, to a four year term, in 2010, which means that filing must be done in 2009.
Everyone interested in the education of our kids should be interested in talking to people, and recruiting a strong Democratic challenger to file against Mrs. Dunbar in December of 2009.
