I can't believe how many people here, and at other sites such as DU and PoliticalWire, are being taken in by Rasmussen's polling. Not only is the polling methodology not supported by polling experts and political scientists, but it is Republican biased.
The methodology is flawed because there is no screening of the poll respondents. Moreover, Scott Rasmussen is a "former" Republican pollster. Anyone reading the so-called "poll analysis" on the site can easily detect the pro-Bush bias. One particular blatant example is in its analysis of Bush's approval ratings the other day, the site relied on
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/commentary.html#4_2_10_1123 which, as was noted in donkey rising, is a right-wing site:

Now I see people citing Rasmussen's senate numbers which are one day polls. One day polls are the laughing stock of the polling industry.
It's to the credit of pollingreport.com that they refuse to report the findings of Rasmussen and the nearly as egregious SurveyUSA. The question I have is why so many Democratic sites are reporting the fraudulent Rasmussen polling as gospel.
