Who is preferred in kossack-land? Chris Cilizza's column provided this recent polling data:
A new Marist College survey shows Kennedy and state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo as the frontrunners -- each garnering 25 percent support from the 503 registered voters surveyed on Monday. No other candidate scored in double digits.
Among self-identified Democrats, Kennedy was the choice of 31 percent while Cuomo was the preferred option for 21 percent; the numbers were reversed among Republicans with 34 percent choosing Cuomo and 21 percent naming Kennedy.
A Public Policy Polling survey, which conducts automated interviews, put Kennedy as the clear frontrunner for the job with 44 percent while Cuomo trailed with 23 percent.
On Nov. 23, I put this question on here with a large slate of candidates, and 397 kossacks voted. Caroline came in first w/89 votes (22%) ahead of Andrew Cuomo (68 votes, 17%). Also polling more or less respectably well were two members of Congress, one from Brooklyn (Nydia Valezquez, 42 votes, 10%) and one from upstate (Kirsten Gillibrand, 25 votes, 6%). Also faring well were Hillary's husband (37 votes, 9%) and Tina Fey (26 votes, 6%).
So, consider this a run-off poll, one that's mostly just for fun but also perhaps something of a taking of kos-land's pulse on this question:
