The circus comes to the California State Capitol when the State Chairman of the American Independent Party (AIP), Markham Robinson, hosts a press conference on December 15 to protest the impending unlawful occupation of the White House and the invalid Electoral College process. He will be joined by attorney Gary Kreep who has filed a lawsuit in California to prohibit its electors from casting their votes for Barack Obama on the grounds he was born in outer space and cannot lawfully assume the office of President. Kreep represents the AIP's presidential and vice-presidential candidates, Alan Keyes and Wiley Drake, who were on the ballot in California. It is uncertain whether Keyes or Drake will attend since their current whereabouts are unknown.
In a statement released announcing the press conference the AIP Chairman asserts, "Unlawful occupation of the Office of the President means no new valid legislation. No valid nominations, including to the Supreme Court. No valid Executive Orders. No lawful commands as Commander in Chief." He goes on to say, "Our democratic system depends upon trust. As Obama swears to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, if he thereby takes office unlawfully, he is actually attacking it. This puts our entire Constitutional order in peril and may destroy the Republic."
I've heard political pundits refer to Congress as "Israeli-occupied territory" but this is ridiculous.
