I have had it! This is my third encounter this week and enough is enough.
The first of the week I had a charge on my American Express card that was not mine. I called and I am routed through the various automated bull, where it is determined I must speak to a real human being. I sit and burn 10 minutes, the phone is picked up and an East Indian man says, "How can I help you". Now first, I am somewhat sensitive about one of the pillars of our American culture - American Express outsourcing our jobs to India, they want my money, but cannot keep their jobs in my country. I ask the man "where are you" ...he will not fess up - I insist, he's in India.
I've had enough!
(jump the broom)
I am not a happy camper, we spend another 20 minutes of my time, and half of it trying to communicate with a person whose first language is not English to get the charge mess handled.
Three days later Bank of America calls and wants to do a bait and switch on my companies fixed rate card. She has an accent but I cannot discern it ...so being me, I ask, again, she's not fessing up ...I insist strongly, she is from the Phillipines.
Bank of America whose getting or asking for millions or who knows billions, since Paulson won't tell us ...has outsourced our jobs to the Phillipines. Son of bitch - how come these companies aren't asked to bring those jobs home before me the taxpayer bails their sorry asses out? The Auto Industry had to bring a plan to the table, why not these white collar crooks? Hartman's right, government only cares about those who take a shower before they go to work, not the working man who showers after he comes home from work.
Today, I get a call, a heavily accented East Indian man wants to talk to the owner of my business. Rarely do I pick up the phone, but everyone else was busy. I ask, "where are you", he will not tell me, I said, I want to know where in India are you ...again, he is evasive. I tell him either he tells me, or I want to talk to an English-speaking manager. He says, all he wants to do is talk to the owner ...I scream NO - and I hang up.
Corporate America has no shame. The very idea that they are standing at the trough waiting for their share of the pig feed and all the time they are part of the problem and the collapse of the working middle class.
When will Congress get their heads out of their asses? If this country goes into a deep dark depression, which it is heading for, then I can assure every single Congressman and Senator that their jobs will be gone.
I am sick of it... I am not the first, and the masses will rise and exact their pound of flesh.
I am determined that I will not speak to anyone about anything on the phones that will not fess up where they are from, who they work for (most don't work directly for the American company, to keep their hands with appearnce of being clean, they "subcontract" the work to someone company who subcontracts it out to an Indian or ... you name the country.) They'll find me a person from the parent company, or I'm not talking!
I have had enough!
