Hey all. I know I'm probably not supposed to be using DK for this sort of thing. But I'm a bit desperate and I need your help. I just moved to Las Vegas from the great state of Delaware to study for the Nevada bar exam. I've lived here for a grand total of 3 days so far, and can't for the life of me figure out what there is to do in this city. So I ask you, dear reader, for your assistance...
I'm looking for a unique area that isn't on the Strip where I can just walk around, or maybe hang out in a coffee shop with a book, or sit on an outdoor patio with a beer during happy hour, etc. I drove around for literally hours yesterday (because I know absolutely no one here) trying to find a place like that, but all I saw were strip malls, WalMarts and apartment complexes.
So, if there are Kossaks out there who live in Las Vegas or know the city well, PLEASE impart some knowledge on my lonely ass so I don't end up going to the Hard Rock for complimentary jack and cokes every time I want to unwind.
Many thanks,
Evolushawn
