CNN continues to add superdelegates to the count, giving the very misleading idea that Clinton is ahead
They show very prominently
Clinton 1100, Obama 1039
The superdelegates, it has been made abundantly clear, will not decide this.
Therefore, it is the extreme of incompetence to show these counts prominently with anything other than pledged delegates,
which of course Obama leads now by a good margin
You'd think this was doing a favor for Hillary - actually, it perversely helps Obama continue the myth that he is the underdog and trailing
Either way, it's wrong, and CNN should know better
Frankly, everytime I turn on CNN, something offends me - they are doing a terrible job these days
UPDATE: For those looking for the 'where we're at' on pledged delegates
here's one count showing Obama + 68
http://www.goobergunch.net/
www.barackobama.com, which has been accurate to date, showed it 910-882 Obama (or + 28) before Saturday, so if you add (per cbsnews.com)
Louisiana (Obama + 12)
Nebraska (Obama + 8)
Washington (Obama + 32)
Virgin Islands (Obama + 3)
that's Obama (+83)
so assuming a margin of error,
it's somewhere around +75 Obama at present
and even if the rest of the large States such as Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania break as they have
for example California and New York approximately +45 each for Hillary, given Barack's advantages elsewhere, Hillary will have a very hard time picking up a net + 75
A lot of work still to be done, but that's what it looks like as of now.
